The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood will present its 18th Annual Cuisine for Art fundraiser on Friday, May 15 from 6:30-10:30 p.m., at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood. Cuisine for Art features elected government officials and community leaders serving as celebrity waiters during an exciting and entertaining evening in which funds are raised for the Center’s exhibition and education programming. 

     This year’s event honors Alberto Ibargüen and Dennis Scholl of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation for their contributions to the arts in South Florida. The Knight Foundation has significantly invested in hundreds of cultural arts organizations nationwide, including the Art and Culture Center, through its annual Knight Arts Challenge.
     More than 300 attendees are expected to attend the event which begins at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception and silent auction featuring items such as incredible vacation packages, beautiful gift baskets, and more. Dinner begins at 7:15 p.m. with the “March of Celebrity Waiters,” followed by a three-course meal, musical entertainment, a live auction, and the presentation of this year’s honorees. This year’s emcees are Jacey Birch, Local 10 new anchor, and Trent Aric, Local 10 meteorologist. 
     An exciting lineup of live entertainment features teenage rock-cello siblings Emil and Dariel, who performed recently on America’s Got Talent; 12-year-old singer, composer and violinist Biana Pinchuk; DJ Slim Rok of Rock With U Entertainment; and Salvador Live, the “world’s most dynamic speed painter.” The live auction includes fantastic experiences, such as a ride aboard the world famous Goodyear Blimp and a VIP California wine experience. Guests at the two tables who raise the most gratuities in honor of their celebrity waiter will receive prizes from the Seminole Hard Rock and The Galleria Fort Lauderdale. The evening is highlighted by the Center’s recognition of the Knight Foundation’s Alberto Ibargüen and Dennis Scholl.
     The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood presents contemporary gallery exhibitions, live stage performances and high-quality education programs for adults and children.
