Bully-Proof Seminar/Dinner/Movie
Children and parents in the Hollywood/Davie area can learn practical ways to avoid being bullied without fighting at the Bully Proof Seminar at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at the Studio of the Jeon’s Korean Martial Arts Academy located at 5977 Stirling Rd. Davie in the Publix Shopping Center. TaeKwonDo Demonstrations with Simple, practical techniques for dealing with bullies will be presented by local self-defense and safety experts, G. Master Jae Jeon & Ms Grace Lee, followed by an Educational presentation on issues of bullying and how to cope with effects by Dr. Michelle Hintz, Licensed Psychologist. Students will also have the opportunity to practice simple techniques in a safe and fun environment. Then Kids stay for the catered dinner and an “Anti Bully” movie while Parents can have a night out until 9:30pm. Cost is $25 per person. Join us for our second lecture in this series.
Our guest speaker will be Jose Pacheco Silva.
Jose is a mixed media artist who recently won an honorable mention award at the Boca Museum All Artist show.
"Behind the austerity of my work lies the intention of retaining the images of the places where I passed by, with the knowledge that everything is condemned to a form of destruction. In essence, I like to construct a poetic of decay as a constant chord, inseparable from the notion that death is iminent and the world is out of control, creating a feeling of night falling into darkness".
Our lecture will begin at 6:30 pm .

Each and everyone of us has something important to express and articulate through a personal creative process.
In this workshop we will explore various possibilities of self-expression. Students of varing levels of skill will be encouraged to venture down their own path of self-expression with guidance in the areas of media and technique.
Workshop tuition is $105.00. All supplies are included. You are welcome to bring with you personal items as well. Students must register for class and pay in full no later than Tuesday, November 11. Tuition is non-refundable. There is a maximum of 8 students per workshop.
